About
Mechanical watches are the perfect combination of art/design, engineering, science and manufacturing, which makes them irresistible to me. I started Schon Horology to take my passion to the next level and devote more time towards the pursuit of making watches in my own style and developing methods to manufacture and finish these parts. For me, the methodology, process and development is equally as rewarding as finishing each timepiece by hand and making the parts for each watch. My aim is that as I continue this journey, my work will only continue to advance in its execution, design and in its horological complexity.
Before Schon Horology, I was a working as a Senior Product Designer at IDEO in Cambridge, MA and ran my pen company Schon DSGN. These experiences helped shape my understanding of what it takes to bring amazing products to fruition for customers all over the world and paved the way for this new adventure.
Here is a short video shot in my studio showcasing some of thoughts on current venture into horology. This piece was shot for a BU today, a Boston University alumni publication (I graduated Boston University in 2012 with a degree in mechanical and manufacturing engineering) .
